An interesting news article:
Plans to bring peace and serenity to the people of London by installing a giant Buddha have won the backing of that renowned advocate of contemplative silence Bernie Ecclestone. The Formula One tycoon is supporting sculptor Laura Lian, who wants to put a 6ft statue in a convenient park or square. "I've got Laura Lian's Buddha in my office", says Ecclestone. "When I have all these other aggravations I look at it and it brings me peace. Put in the right place, it will be really nice and will give out the right message."Atticus - Roland White in the Timesonline - Sunday Times, April 1, 2007
TESTIMONIAL: Laura... Fantastic, what more can I say! The Grain Power Station has transformed from a closing station a few years ago to one of change, courage and hope with the construction of our new, modern, gas fired power station. The commissioned Phoenix Sculpture rising from the ashes of its own pyre, that you have so beautifully designed and created cannot be a more fitting representation of our rebirth and exciting future. From all of us at The Grain Power Station
